The Lord of the Rings

The first volume in J.R.R. Tolkien's epic adventure, The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship of the Ring tells the story of Frodo Baggins, a hobbit who inherits a magical ring from his uncle Bilbo. When he learns that the ring is actually the One Ring, the most powerful of the Rings of Power, he must embark on a perilous journey to destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom.

The second volume in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Two Towers continues the story of Frodo and his companions as they journey through Middle-earth. The fellowship has been broken, and the story follows both Frodo and Sam's journey to Mordor, as well as the remaining members' efforts to protect the people of Rohan and Gondor.

The final volume in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Return of the King brings the epic story to its conclusion, as the forces of good and evil gather for the final battle. Frodo and Sam must complete their quest to destroy the One Ring, while Aragorn must claim his rightful place as king of Gondor.
